Description

A lighter twist on classic lasagna made with tender zucchini slices, savory ground turkey, and layers of creamy cheese baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground turkey
  • 3 medium zucchini, thinly sliced lengthwise
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook garlic until fragrant, then add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper, then let simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Spread a thin layer of sauce at the bottom of the baking dish.
  5. Layer zucchini slices, turkey sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella. Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
  6. Finish with mozzarella and parmesan on top.
  7. Bake for 35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing, then serve and enjoy.
