- 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, whisk together milk, flour, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Lightly grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer sliced sweet potatoes in the dish, pour some of the milk mixture, then sprinkle cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
