Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup fresh strawberries, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, then gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
  6. Scoop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring.
  9. Serve and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
