Description

A rich and creamy layered dessert made with a fudgy brownie base, silky strawberry cheesecake filling, glossy strawberry topping, and chocolate drizzle. Every bite combines chocolate richness with fresh berry flavor for a bakery-style dessert that feels indulgent and unforgettable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup strawberry puree
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and lightly grease a 9 inch springform pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, 1 cup sugar, 3 eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until a thick brownie batter forms.
  4. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared springform pan.
  5. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with remaining sugar until smooth and creamy.
  6. Add remaining eggs, sour cream, strawberry puree, and remaining vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
  7. Pour the cheesecake filling over the brownie layer and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes until the center is slightly jiggly but mostly set.
  9. Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
  10. In a saucepan, cook sliced strawberries with cornstarch over medium heat until glossy and slightly thickened.
  11. Spoon the strawberry topping over the chilled cheesecake.
  12. Garnish with semi sweet chocolate chips before serving.

Notes

  • Allow the cheesecake to chill overnight for the best texture and flavor.
  • Use room temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps in the filling.
  • Wipe the knife clean between slices for bakery-style presentation.
  • Fresh strawberries work best because frozen berries release extra moisture.
