Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and a small amount of sugar. Let sit until foamy, then add eggs, melted butter, and flour to form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rest and rise until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Sprinkle blueberries, remaining sugar, and lemon zest evenly over the surface.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into even rolls.
- Place the rolls into the prepared baking dish, leaving a little space between each.
- Bake for 25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Mix lemon juice with powdered sugar to create a glaze, then drizzle over warm rolls.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Use fresh blueberries for best flavor, but frozen can work if added directly.
- Do not overfill the rolls to ensure even baking.
- Let the dough rise fully for the softest texture.
