Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix bread flour, sourdough starter, warm water, sugar, and salt until a dough forms. Fold in sliced jalapenos and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Knead the dough on a clean surface until smooth, then let it rest and rise until slightly puffy.
- Divide the dough into equal portions, shape into balls, and form bagel rings.
- Bring a pot of water to a gentle simmer and boil each bagel for 1 minute per side.
- Transfer bagels to the baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Optionally sprinkle extra cheese on top during the last few minutes of baking.
