Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C and lightly grease a muffin tin.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and black pepper. Add warm milk and knead until a soft dough forms.
- Prepare the muffin tin by lightly buttering it.
- Roll the dough into a thin rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly, then sprinkle garlic, parmesan, parsley, and thyme. Roll tightly into a log, slice lengthwise, twist, and coil into muffin shapes.
- Place in the muffin tin and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with a little melted butter and sprinkle extra parmesan if desired.
- Let cool slightly, then serve warm.
Notes
- Use softened butter for easy spreading and better layering.
- Do not skip the rising time for a soft texture.
- Finely grate parmesan for even distribution.
- Reheat in the oven to maintain flakiness.
