Description

Flaky, buttery cruffins filled with garlic, parmesan, and fresh herbs, baked to golden perfection with soft layers inside and a lightly crisp top.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and lightly grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and black pepper. Add warm milk and knead until a soft dough forms.
  3. Prepare the muffin tin by lightly buttering it.
  4. Roll the dough into a thin rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly, then sprinkle garlic, parmesan, parsley, and thyme. Roll tightly into a log, slice lengthwise, twist, and coil into muffin shapes.
  5. Place in the muffin tin and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Brush with a little melted butter and sprinkle extra parmesan if desired.
  7. Let cool slightly, then serve warm.
