Description

A rich and comforting sloppy joes sandwich made with juicy ground beef simmered in a sweet and tangy sauce, served on soft buns for a satisfying and nostalgic meal.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns


Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Prepare all ingredients by chopping vegetables and measuring sauces.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet, then sauté onion and green bell pepper for about 3 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until thickened.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Spoon the mixture onto hamburger buns and serve warm.
