Description

Toasted Milk Marble Cookies are tender, buttery cookies swirled with caramelized milk powder for a unique toasted flavor and a beautiful marbled appearance.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup toasted milk powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add flour and salt, and mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough in half. Mix the toasted milk powder into one half to create the darker swirl.
  6. Take small portions from each dough and gently twist them together, forming a marbled ball. Flatten slightly and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • To toast milk powder, cook it in a dry pan over low heat until golden and nutty in aroma.
  • Do not overmix the two doughs to preserve the marbled effect.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
