Description
Toasted Milk Marble Cookies are tender, buttery cookies swirled with caramelized milk powder for a unique toasted flavor and a beautiful marbled appearance.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup toasted milk powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Add flour and salt, and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Divide the dough in half. Mix the toasted milk powder into one half to create the darker swirl.
- Take small portions from each dough and gently twist them together, forming a marbled ball. Flatten slightly and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- To toast milk powder, cook it in a dry pan over low heat until golden and nutty in aroma.
- Do not overmix the two doughs to preserve the marbled effect.
- Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
