Description

Thick & Chewy Candy Bar Blondies are buttery, golden bars loaded with chopped candy bars, creating gooey pockets of chocolate and crunch in every bite. Perfect for using leftover candy and always a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped candy bars

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped candy bars gently so they’re evenly distributed. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
  6. Let the blondies cool completely in the pan before lifting them out with the parchment paper.
  7. Slice into squares and serve as is, or warm them slightly and pair with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper for easy removal and clean slicing.
  • Don’t overbake to maintain a chewy center.
  • Chill before slicing for neater squares.
  • Freeze leftovers between parchment layers for up to 2 months.
