  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or scallions, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with the olive oil until hot.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Toss chicken pieces in a bowl with salt, pepper, and cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Ensure the skillet is hot and evenly coated with oil before adding the chicken.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Add chicken in a single layer and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Lower heat and sauté garlic in the same skillet for 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, and water. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Finishing Touches: Return chicken to the skillet and coat in the sauce. Simmer for 2 more minutes.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with sesame seeds and parsley or scallions. Serve hot.
