Sticky Rainbow Beef is a vibrant and flavorful stir-fry featuring tender beef strips cooked in a sweet and sticky sauce, tossed with colorful bell peppers and served over rice for a quick and satisfying meal.

- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry; set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef slices and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.
- In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add all bell peppers and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Return beef to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir well and cook until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and peppers, about 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve hot over cooked rice.
Notes
- Use any combination of colorful bell peppers for a vibrant dish.
- Adjust honey to taste for desired sweetness.
- Add chili flakes for some heat if preferred.
