Description

Sticky Rainbow Beef is a vibrant and flavorful stir-fry featuring tender beef strips cooked in a sweet and sticky sauce, tossed with colorful bell peppers and served over rice for a quick and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry; set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef slices and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Add all bell peppers and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  5. Return beef to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir well and cook until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and peppers, about 2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice.

  • Use any combination of colorful bell peppers for a vibrant dish.
  • Adjust honey to taste for desired sweetness.
  • Add chili flakes for some heat if preferred.
