Description

A savory and satisfying steak fried rice packed with tender beef, fluffy rice, and colorful vegetables, all brought together with rich umami flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked long grain rice
  • 300 grams beef steak, cut into small cubes
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 medium carrot, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Beat the eggs in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the pan.
  4. Cook the steak pieces until browned, then remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, sauté garlic, carrots, and peas until slightly softened.
  6. Push vegetables to the side and pour in the eggs, scramble until cooked.
  7. Add the cooked rice and steak back into the pan.
  8. Pour in soy sauce, salt, and black pepper, then mix everything well.
  9. Drizzle sesame oil and add chopped green onions.
  10. Stir well and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, then serve hot.

Notes

  • Use cold, day-old rice for best texture
  • Cook on high heat to achieve slightly crispy rice
  • Avoid adding too much soy sauce at once
