Description

Crispy, golden sesame-crusted prawn toast sliders filled with savory, garlicky prawn paste, perfect for snacking or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 300g Raw Prawns (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tsp Ginger (grated)
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Egg White
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 6 slices White Bread (crusts removed)
  • 3 tbsp Sesame Seeds (white and black)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Vegetable Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Warm a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add about ½ inch of vegetable oil.
  2. In a food processor, blend prawns, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, egg white, cornstarch, salt, and pepper into a smooth paste.
  3. Line a tray with paper towels to drain cooked sliders.
  4. Spread prawn paste on one slice of bread, top with another slice, press into sesame seeds to coat one side, and cut into quarters.
  5. Fry sliders sesame-side down for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Transfer to a paper towel-lined tray and sprinkle with optional garnishes.
  7. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Use cold prawn paste for better spreading and texture.
  • Fry in batches to maintain oil temperature and ensure even browning.
  • White and black sesame mix gives visual appeal and nutty depth.
  • Great with sriracha mayo or lime wedges for extra flavor.
