Description
These golden, fluffy biscuit bites are stuffed with savory sausage, sweet apples, and melty cheddar cheese for the perfect sweet-and-savory snack or brunch treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8-count) canned biscuit dough
- 1/2 pound ground sausage
- 1 medium apple, peeled and finely diced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned. Add diced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Cook for 3–5 minutes until apples soften. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese.
- Flatten each biscuit slightly. Place 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of each. Fold dough around filling and pinch edges to seal.
- Place stuffed biscuits seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use cold biscuit dough for easier handling and better sealing.
- Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples add the best flavor and texture.
- Brush with egg wash for a golden, glossy finish.
- Perfect for freezing and reheating later.
