Ingredients
- Penne pasta – 12 ounces, cooked to al dente
- Italian sausage – 1 pound, sliced and browned
- Butter – 4 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves – 3, minced
- Heavy cream – 2 cups
- Parmesan cheese – 1 cup, freshly grated
- Chopped parsley – 2 tablespoons
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper – 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and simmer gently, then stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- In a large bowl, mix cooked pasta with sliced sausage and the creamy Alfredo sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly. Sprinkle extra Parmesan on top if desired.
- Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until the top is lightly golden and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chopped parsley over the top for freshness.
