Description

These Pizza Roses are a fun and flavorful twist on classic pizza, featuring puff pastry spirals filled with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix marinara sauce with dried oregano. Prepare cheeses and lay out the puff pastry.
  3. Lightly grease or line your baking tray.
  4. Cut the puff pastry into 2-inch wide strips. Spread a thin layer of marinara, sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan, and roll each strip from one end to the other. Place upright on the tray.
  5. Brush the tops with olive oil and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly, then garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  7. Serve warm with extra marinara on the side.

Notes

  • Chill the rolled pastries before baking to help them keep their shape.
  • Don’t overload with sauce to avoid sogginess.
  • Use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
