Description

This peach cobbler is a warm, comforting dessert made with juicy peaches and a buttery biscuit topping. It’s the perfect blend of sweet, tart, and crispy, and comes together with simple pantry staples.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 medium fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Let sit while you prepare the batter.
  3. Pour the peach mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until just combined. Stir in the melted butter and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the batter evenly over the peaches. Do not stir.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  7. Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe peaches for the best flavor and juiciness.
  • Let the cobbler rest before serving so the filling can set.
  • Sprinkle a little coarse sugar on top before baking for extra crunch.
  • This recipe can be made with frozen or canned peaches if fresh are not available.
