- 4 boneless skinless chicken fillets
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare three shallow bowls. Place flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second bowl, and combine breadcrumbs with grated parmesan cheese in the third bowl.
- Season the chicken fillets with salt and black pepper.
- Dredge each chicken fillet in flour, dip into the eggs, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb and parmesan mixture, pressing gently so the coating sticks.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the breaded chicken fillets for about 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- Spoon marinara sauce over each piece of chicken and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for about 10 minutes until the cheese melts and becomes bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with minced garlic and chopped fresh parsley, then serve warm.
