- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz pasta (such as fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 6–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Add the pasta to the skillet, ensuring it’s submerged in the broth. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 9-10 minutes.
- Once the pasta is cooked, add the heavy cream, butter, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
- Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet. Stir to combine with the pasta and sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Feel free to use any pasta you prefer. Adjust cooking time based on pasta type.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a bit more chicken broth to reach the desired consistency.
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes before serving.
