Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz pasta (such as fettuccine or spaghetti)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 6–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  4. Add the pasta to the skillet, ensuring it’s submerged in the broth. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 9-10 minutes.
  5. Once the pasta is cooked, add the heavy cream, butter, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet. Stir to combine with the pasta and sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Feel free to use any pasta you prefer. Adjust cooking time based on pasta type.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a bit more chicken broth to reach the desired consistency.
  • For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes before serving.
