Description

A fusion of cheesy nachos and stuffed bread, this Nachos Chicken Bread is a golden-baked masterpiece filled with spicy chicken, gooey cheese, and crunchy tortilla chips. Perfect for sharing or indulging solo.


Ingredients

  • Chicken Breast (boneless, cooked and shredded): 1½ cups
  • Capsicum (finely chopped): ½ cup
  • Onion (finely chopped): ½ cup
  • Garlic (minced): 2 cloves
  • Tomato Ketchup: 2 tablespoons
  • Red Chili Sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Oregano: ½ teaspoon
  • Black Pepper: ¼ teaspoon
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon
  • Cheddar Cheese (grated): 1 cup
  • Mozzarella Cheese (grated): ½ cup
  • Ready-Made Pizza Dough or Homemade Bread Dough: Enough for 1 loaf
  • Tortilla Chips (crushed): ½ cup
  • Egg (beaten): 1


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Sauté onions, garlic, and capsicum until soft. Add shredded chicken, ketchup, chili sauce, oregano, pepper, and salt. Cook until slightly dry. Let it cool, then mix in half the cheeses.
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Transfer to the tray.
  4. Spread chicken filling down the center. Top with remaining cheese and crushed tortilla chips. Cut slits on both sides and braid over the filling.
  5. Brush with beaten egg and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheese for best melt and flavor.
  • Don’t skip the egg wash for a golden finish.
  • Let the bread rest after baking to set the filling.
