A fusion of cheesy nachos and stuffed bread, this Nachos Chicken Bread is a golden-baked masterpiece filled with spicy chicken, gooey cheese, and crunchy tortilla chips. Perfect for sharing or indulging solo.
Ingredients
- Chicken Breast (boneless, cooked and shredded): 1½ cups
- Capsicum (finely chopped): ½ cup
- Onion (finely chopped): ½ cup
- Garlic (minced): 2 cloves
- Tomato Ketchup: 2 tablespoons
- Red Chili Sauce: 1 tablespoon
- Oregano: ½ teaspoon
- Black Pepper: ¼ teaspoon
- Salt: ½ teaspoon
- Cheddar Cheese (grated): 1 cup
- Mozzarella Cheese (grated): ½ cup
- Ready-Made Pizza Dough or Homemade Bread Dough: Enough for 1 loaf
- Tortilla Chips (crushed): ½ cup
- Egg (beaten): 1
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Sauté onions, garlic, and capsicum until soft. Add shredded chicken, ketchup, chili sauce, oregano, pepper, and salt. Cook until slightly dry. Let it cool, then mix in half the cheeses.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Transfer to the tray.
- Spread chicken filling down the center. Top with remaining cheese and crushed tortilla chips. Cut slits on both sides and braid over the filling.
- Brush with beaten egg and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
