- Egg (for frangipane): 1 large
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease them lightly.
- Combine Ingredients: In one bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another, mix milk, oil, vanilla, and egg. Gently fold the wet into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Spoon the batter evenly into your prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Assemble the Dish: In a separate bowl, cream together softened butter and powdered sugar. Add the egg and almond flour, mixing until smooth. Spoon a dollop of frangipane on top of each muffin.
- Cook to Perfection: Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden on top and a toothpick inserted into the muffin (not the frangipane) comes out clean.
- Finishing Touches: Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
