Description

Juicy mozzarella stuffed meatballs baked in rich tomato sauce, bursting with gooey melted cheese and comforting flavors in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 150 grams mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper until just mixed.
  3. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce in the baking dish.
  4. Take a portion of the mixture, flatten it, place a cube of mozzarella in the center, and shape into a ball. Repeat for all meatballs.
  5. Arrange meatballs in the dish and pour remaining tomato sauce over them.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes until fully cooked through.
  7. Let rest for a few minutes before serving warm.

  • Do not overmix the meat to keep the texture tender.
  • Seal the cheese well inside each meatball to prevent leaking.
