Description
A creamy, sunshine-bright mango smoothie that blends ripe mango with milk and yogurt for a velvety, refreshing sip. Naturally sweet, quick to make, and perfect for breakfast, snack time, or a cool dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups ripe mango, fresh or frozen, diced
- 1 cup milk, dairy or plant-based
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt, dairy or non-dairy
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, to taste
- 1/2 cup ice cubes, optional if using fresh mango
- 1 small pinch fine sea salt, optional
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice, optional
Instructions
- Add milk to the blender first, followed by yogurt, mango, honey, and ice if using.
- Blend on high until completely smooth and creamy, 45 to 90 seconds, scraping down the sides if needed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with a little more honey, or thin with a splash of milk if too thick.
- Finish with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lime juice for brightness, then pulse to combine.
- Pour into two chilled glasses, garnish with a mango slice or mint, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra thickness, use frozen mango and skip the ice.
- For dairy-free, choose almond, oat, or coconut milk and a non-dairy yogurt.
- Add-ins like chia seeds, flaxseed, vanilla, or a pinch of cardamom boost nutrition and aroma.
- Leftovers freeze well in popsicle molds or ice cube trays for future smoothies.
