Description

A cool, creamy iced matcha latte with vibrant color, gentle sweetness, and a smooth earthy finish. Ready in minutes and perfect for a calm, refreshing pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons liquid sweetener
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Warm a small bowl with hot water, then discard to preheat the bowl.
  2. Sift 2 teaspoons matcha powder into the bowl and add 2 tablespoons hot water.
  3. Whisk in a quick W motion until completely smooth and lightly frothy.
  4. Fill a tall glass with 1 cup ice cubes.
  5. Pour 1 cup milk of choice over the ice.
  6. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons liquid sweetener and stir briefly.
  7. Gently pour the whisked matcha over the milk and swirl to combine.
  8. Taste and adjust sweetness, then serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

  • Note: Use filtered water and ceremonial grade matcha for the brightest color and cleanest flavor.
  • Barista-style oat milk or whole milk gives extra creaminess.
  • A handheld frother works if you do not have a bamboo whisk.
  • Premix a larger batch of matcha and keep chilled for up to 24 hours, shake before using.
