- 2 tablespoons hot water
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1 to 2 teaspoons liquid sweetener
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Warm a small bowl with hot water, then discard to preheat the bowl.
- Sift 2 teaspoons matcha powder into the bowl and add 2 tablespoons hot water.
- Whisk in a quick W motion until completely smooth and lightly frothy.
- Fill a tall glass with 1 cup ice cubes.
- Pour 1 cup milk of choice over the ice.
- Add 1 to 2 teaspoons liquid sweetener and stir briefly.
- Gently pour the whisked matcha over the milk and swirl to combine.
- Taste and adjust sweetness, then serve immediately with a straw.
Notes
- Note: Use filtered water and ceremonial grade matcha for the brightest color and cleanest flavor.
- Barista-style oat milk or whole milk gives extra creaminess.
