Description
Sweet, smoky, and comforting Honey BBQ Chicken Rice made with tender chicken glazed in honey barbecue sauce and served over fluffy white rice.

- 1 pound boneless chicken thighs
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 whole garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly oil a baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine honey, barbecue sauce, soy sauce, olive oil, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the chicken thighs in the baking dish and arrange the whole garlic cloves around them.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and turn to coat evenly.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Spoon sauce over the chicken and bake for an additional 10 minutes until glazed and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Cook the white rice according to package instructions.
- Serve the chicken and sauce over the cooked rice.
Notes
- For extra sauce, spoon additional glaze over the rice before serving.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
