Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 lb ground chicken breast
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup oat flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Breading:
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, milk, 1/4 cup breadcrumbs, egg, oat flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Using your hands, shape the mixture into small nugget-sized pieces.
- Roll each nugget in the 1 cup of breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Place nuggets on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spray lightly with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temperature). Alternatively, pan-fry in a skillet with a thin layer of oil for 3–4 minutes per side.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
- For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs instead of plain.
- These nuggets can be frozen before baking—just place on a tray, freeze until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag.
- You can air-fry them at 375°F (190°C) for 12–14 minutes for a healthier option.
