Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf or bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  4. Divide the batter in half. Stir cocoa powder into one half until fully blended.
  5. Spoon alternating dollops of vanilla and chocolate batter into the prepared pan. Swirl gently with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Optional: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze before serving.
