Description

Creamy Garlic Butter Tuscan Shrimp is a rich and flavorful dish featuring succulent shrimp cooked in a garlic-infused buttery sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on or off
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  4. Pour in white wine and deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  5. Add sun-dried tomatoes, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Stir in baby spinach and cook until wilted.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet and coat with the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen shrimp, but ensure they are fully thawed before cooking.
  • Adjust the amount of white wine and cream for a thinner or thicker sauce according to preference.
  • Sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil will add extra richness; drain slightly if desired.
