- 1 pound steak strips (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
- 18 ounces fresh cheese tortellini
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear in batches for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- Lower heat, add butter to the same skillet, and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, add parmesan cheese, and stir until melted and slightly thickened.
- Cook tortellini in a saucepan according to package instructions, drain, and add to sauce.
- Simmer tortellini in sauce for 2-3 minutes. Return steak to the pan and gently stir to coat.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with extra parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Use freshly grated parmesan for best sauce texture.
- Reserve a little pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.
- Rest the steak before slicing to keep it juicy.
