Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak strips (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
  • 18 ounces fresh cheese tortellini
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear in batches for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower heat, add butter to the same skillet, and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, add parmesan cheese, and stir until melted and slightly thickened.
  5. Cook tortellini in a saucepan according to package instructions, drain, and add to sauce.
  6. Simmer tortellini in sauce for 2-3 minutes. Return steak to the pan and gently stir to coat.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with extra parmesan if desired.

  • Reserve a little pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.
