- 500 grams ground beef
- 800 grams potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 250 ml beef broth
- 30 grams butter
- 100 ml milk
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan, add onion and garlic, cook until soft. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add carrots, tomato paste, beef broth, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer until slightly thickened.
- Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and milk until smooth.
- Spread the meat mixture in a baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 25 minutes until the top is golden and slightly crisp.
- Let it rest for a few minutes, then serve warm.
