Description

A comforting baked dish made with savory minced beef and vegetables, topped with creamy mashed potatoes and baked until golden.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 800 grams potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 250 ml beef broth
  • 30 grams butter
  • 100 ml milk
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan, add onion and garlic, cook until soft. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add carrots, tomato paste, beef broth, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and milk until smooth.
  5. Spread the meat mixture in a baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes until the top is golden and slightly crisp.
  7. Let it rest for a few minutes, then serve warm.
