Description

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and place a wire rack on top of a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, toss chicken wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and olive oil until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared wire rack, making sure they are not touching.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat, then stir in the hot sauce until combined.
  6. Toss the baked wings in the hot sauce mixture until evenly coated and glossy.
  7. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Pat the wings very dry before seasoning to ensure maximum crispiness.
  • Do not substitute baking soda for baking powder.
