Description

A cozy, tender loaf swirled with cinnamon sugar and topped with a sweet, crumbly streusel. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or snacking any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour (for streusel)
  • 1/4 cup cold butter (for streusel)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Add to wet mixture alternating with milk. Mix just until combined.
  4. Pour half the batter into loaf pan. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar with remaining cinnamon. Sprinkle half over the batter. Add remaining batter, top with remaining cinnamon sugar, and swirl with a knife.
  5. Make streusel by mixing 1/3 cup flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of the batter.
  6. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
  7. Optional: Drizzle with glaze once completely cooled.

Notes

  • Use room temperature ingredients for best results.
  • If the top browns too fast, tent with foil halfway through baking.
  • Let the loaf cool fully before slicing for clean cuts.
  • Add nuts or glaze to customize your loaf.
