Description

A quick and flavorful chicken stir-fry packed with colorful vegetables and coated in a savory garlic soy sauce, served over warm rice for a satisfying and easy meal.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams boneless skinless chicken, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 cup fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cups cooked white rice


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium high heat until hot.
  2. In a small bowl combine soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch and mix until smooth.
  3. Add a small amount of oil to the hot pan and swirl to coat the surface.
  4. Add the chicken pieces and cook until lightly golden and nearly cooked through.
  5. Add garlic, broccoli florets, sliced carrot, and sliced bell pepper to the pan and stir fry for several minutes until vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan and stir continuously until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and vegetables.
  7. Cook for one more minute so the flavors blend together.
  8. Serve immediately over warm cooked white rice.

  • Prepare all ingredients before cooking because stir frying happens quickly.
  • Use high heat to get better searing on the chicken and vegetables.
  • Avoid overcrowding the pan to maintain proper heat.
