Description

Crispy, golden chicken breasts rolled with savory ham and gooey Swiss cheese, topped with a creamy Swiss cheese sauce for a comforting yet elegant dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, pounded thin
  • 8 slices Deli Ham
  • 8 slices Swiss Cheese
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 large Eggs, beaten
  • 1 ½ cups Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (for sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour (for sauce)
  • 1 ½ cups Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Grated Swiss Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Lay out the chicken breasts and layer each with 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese.
  3. Roll each chicken breast tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  4. Prepare three bowls for flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  5. Dip each chicken roll in flour, then egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Place seam side down in the baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  7. Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  8. Stir in grated Swiss cheese and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Slice chicken and drizzle with warm cheese sauce before serving.
