Description

Sweet, spicy, and irresistibly cheesy, these honey sriracha chicken sliders are the ultimate comfort food with a kick. Crispy fried chicken is layered with melted cheese, tangy pickles, and a drizzle of honey sriracha sauce, all nestled in soft slider buns. Perfect for parties, game nights, or whenever you’re craving bold flavor in a bite-sized sandwich.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 8 to 10 slider buns
  • 8 to 10 slices cheddar cheese
  • Pickles, sliced
  • 1 cup red cabbage slaw (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan or deep fryer to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, marinate chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk, dredge in flour mixture, and press to coat well.
  5. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 6 minutes per piece.
  6. While hot, place a slice of cheese on each piece so it melts slightly.
  7. Warm slider buns lightly.
  8. Mix honey and sriracha together in a bowl.
  9. Spread sauce on buns, layer with chicken, pickles, and slaw if using.
  10. Top with the bun and serve warm.

Notes

  • Double dredge chicken for extra crunch.
  • Toast buns for a firmer texture that holds sauce better.
  • Adjust sriracha amount to your spice preference.
  • Store leftover components separately to keep everything crisp.
