Description

This cheesy broccoli frittata is a quick, satisfying meal perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Packed with fresh broccoli, melty cheddar, and fluffy eggs, it’s easy to whip up and even easier to love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups chopped broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). If your skillet isn’t oven-safe, prep a baking dish with a light oil coating.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onions and garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add the broccoli and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until just tender.
  4. Spread the cooked veggies evenly in the skillet. Pour the egg mixture over the top, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar evenly across the surface.
  5. Let the frittata cook undisturbed on the stovetop for 2 to 3 minutes to set the edges. Then transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the center is just set and the top is golden.
  6. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This helps it hold shape and makes for cleaner cuts.
  7. Slice into wedges and serve warm or at room temperature. A fresh side salad makes the perfect companion.

Notes

  • Use fresh broccoli for the best texture and flavor.
  • Grate your own cheese for a smoother melt.
  • Don’t overbake the frittata—pull it from the oven when the center is just set.
  • Add fresh herbs like chives or parsley for extra flavor.
