Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large chicken fillets, skinless and flattened
- 8 slices of ham
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment.
- Lay 2 slices of ham and a generous amount of shredded mozzarella on each flattened chicken fillet. Sprinkle with garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the base of your baking dish.
- Roll the chicken tightly, securing the edges with toothpicks or kitchen twine. Place seam-side down in the dish.
- Melt the remaining butter and drizzle it over the chicken rolls.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and fully cooked.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Spoon buttery juices over the top before serving.
Notes
- Don’t overstuff the chicken to avoid leaks during baking.
- Secure edges well to hold the filling inside.
- Let the chicken rest before cutting for maximum juiciness.
- You can prepare the rolls in advance and bake later.
