- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil

- 1/3 cup caramel sauce
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 6-inch or 7-inch cake pan and line with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and espresso powder.
- In a separate bowl, mix coffee, milk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until smooth but not overmixed.
- Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
- Warm the caramel sauce and stir in heavy cream and butter until smooth.
- Once the cake has cooled, drizzle with caramel and top with chopped pecans.
- Slice and serve with your favorite drink or a scoop of ice cream.
