- 4 cups butternut squash, peeled and cubed
- 3 large apples, sliced
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter, cubed
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- In a large bowl, toss squash and apples with maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish and dot with cubed butter.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, until squash is tender and top is golden.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving warm.
