- 1 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/4 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
- 1/3 cup Tahini
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 large Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 tablespoon Blood Orange Zest
- 3/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chunks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter, tahini, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg, vanilla extract, and blood orange zest. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in the dry ingredients until just combined, then stir in chocolate chunks.
- Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Optionally, add extra chocolate chunks on top.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set.
- Cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Sprinkle sea salt if desired.
Notes
- Use chopped chocolate bars for melty pockets.
- Chill dough for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavor.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt for extra flavor punch.
