Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 1/3 cup Tahini
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Blood Orange Zest
  • 3/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chunks


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, tahini, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add egg, vanilla extract, and blood orange zest. Mix until smooth.
  5. Fold in the dry ingredients until just combined, then stir in chocolate chunks.
  6. Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Optionally, add extra chocolate chunks on top.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set.
  8. Cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Sprinkle sea salt if desired.
