Description

Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup caramel sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash bananas. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gently fold into wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Drizzle half the caramel over it. Add remaining batter, then top with remaining caramel.
  5. Swirl caramel gently with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean (caramel may stick slightly).
  7. Let cool 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.

  • Use overripe bananas for best flavor and sweetness.
  • Don’t overmix the batter to keep the loaf tender.
  • Warm caramel slightly for easier swirling.
