Description

Golden, flaky phyllo cups filled with creamy feta and finished with a drizzle of sweet and spicy hot honey, perfect for parties or a gourmet snack


Ingredients

  • Phyllo Dough Sheets: 8 sheets, thawed if frozen
  • Feta Cheese: 8 ounces, crumbled
  • Honey: 1/4 cup
  • Chili Flakes: 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame Seeds: 1 tablespoon, toasted
  • Fresh Thyme: 1 teaspoon, finely chopped
  • Olive Oil: 1/4 cup


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the crumbled feta with chopped thyme.
  3. Cut the phyllo sheets into 3-inch squares and keep the remaining sheets covered with a damp cloth.
  4. Layer 3 phyllo squares in each muffin tin cup, brushing lightly with olive oil between each layer. Spoon a tablespoon of the feta mixture into the center.
  5. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and crisp.
  6. While baking, warm the honey in a small saucepan with chili flakes over low heat.
  7. Drizzle warm hot honey over the baked phyllo cups, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
