Description

Creamy, cheesy, and rich with sweet crab flavor, this baked crab casserole is the ultimate comfort dish. Perfect as an appetizer, main course, or potluck favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and Old Bay seasoning.
  3. Fold in lump crab meat and chopped green onions gently to keep the crab intact.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Top with extra cheese or a light layer of breadcrumbs if desired.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes, garnish with additional green onions, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Let cream cheese sit at room temperature before mixing for a smoother texture.
  • Use fresh lump crab meat for the best flavor and texture.
  • Make it ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • Serve with toast, crackers, or inside halved bell peppers for variety.
