Description

These baked banana sesame bites are soft, slightly crisp on the outside, and naturally sweetened. A wholesome snack made with ripe bananas, oats, and honey, coated in nutty sesame seeds.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the rolled oats, honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until fully combined.
  4. Using a spoon or small scoop, form the mixture into small bite-sized balls.
  5. Roll each ball in sesame seeds to coat the outside.
  6. Place the coated bites on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the bottoms are golden and the tops are set.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For deeper sesame flavor, toast the seeds before rolling.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
  • Use overripe bananas for best sweetness and texture.
