Description
These baked banana sesame bites are soft, slightly crisp on the outside, and naturally sweetened. A wholesome snack made with ripe bananas, oats, and honey, coated in nutty sesame seeds.

- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the rolled oats, honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until fully combined.
- Using a spoon or small scoop, form the mixture into small bite-sized balls.
- Roll each ball in sesame seeds to coat the outside.
- Place the coated bites on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the bottoms are golden and the tops are set.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For deeper sesame flavor, toast the seeds before rolling.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
- Use overripe bananas for best sweetness and texture.
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup or agave.
