Ingredients

- 200 grams spaghetti
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
- Add spaghetti and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
- During the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the same pot.
- Reserve a small amount of pasta water, then drain the pasta and broccoli together.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and gently cook the sliced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet and toss well.
- Add a splash of reserved pasta water to create a light sauce.
- Season with salt and black pepper, then sprinkle in the grated parmesan and toss until evenly coated.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Do not overcook the broccoli to keep it bright and slightly crisp.
- Use freshly grated parmesan for better flavor and texture.
- Add chili flakes if you want a bit of heat.
- A splash of lemon juice can brighten the dish before serving.
