Description

A quick and comforting pasta dish made with tender broccoli, fragrant garlic, and silky olive oil, all tossed with perfectly cooked spaghetti and finished with a sprinkle of parmesan.


Ingredients

  • 200 grams spaghetti
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
  2. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
  3. During the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the same pot.
  4. Reserve a small amount of pasta water, then drain the pasta and broccoli together.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and gently cook the sliced garlic until fragrant.
  6. Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet and toss well.
  7. Add a splash of reserved pasta water to create a light sauce.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper, then sprinkle in the grated parmesan and toss until evenly coated.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy.

  • Do not overcook the broccoli to keep it bright and slightly crisp.
  • Use freshly grated parmesan for better flavor and texture.
